LTGDC’s investment in Rainham Village has been to revitalise the village centre through acquiring sites to support a new transport interchange set around a new community library and public square. In the centre of the village new housing is to be provided responding to the housing needs of the community and keeping with the conservation requirements of the village.
On the outskirts of the village at Lamson Road LTGDC has transformed a dilapidated industrial building creating five high quality business units which will attract new businesses and jobs to the area. And to the west LTGDC is working with Havering College to fulfil their aspirations to develop a new college campus and provide the right education and skills for young people in Rainham.
