Canning Town and Custom House is the sixth largest regeneration scheme in the UK. Delivering two vibrant town centres, new homes across all tenures, leisure and retail facilities, along with more green space and greater opportunities for new and existing residents.
The first phase of Bouygues £600m town centre development will start on site in early 2012 and expected to be completed in summer 2014. English Cities Fund is creating a 70,000sq m mixed use development in neighbouring Rathbone Market. The first phase, on site now, will deliver new shops and 271 new homes by summer 2012. Completing the massive scale of regeneration in Canning Town, Countryside Properties are on site at Fife Road with a £100m housing led scheme.
The area which already benefits from one of the best transport interchanges at Canning Town will also boast a new Crossrail station at Custom House.
